Who we are

Louise Byrne is a Dublin based producer working across film, television and commercials. Having co-developed the film division at Motherland in 2017, she has produced a diverse slate of narrative and documentary films, with projects screening at Sundance, Tribeca, Sheffield DocFest, and Dublin International Film Festival, as well as securing theatrical distribution in Ireland.

Her recent work includes the feature documentary Don’t Forget to Remember (2024), which won Audience Choice and Honourable Mention at DIFF, had its international premiere at Sheffield DocFest, and was self distributed theatrically across Ireland with sales representation from Impronta Films.

Louise works extensively with emerging directorial talent, producing high end commercials while also supporting the development and production of short and feature films. Most notable shorts include Ross Killeen’s 99 Problems, Rory Hanrahan’s Wife of the Future (Best Debut Short at Galway Film Fleadh/IFTA 2025 nominee), Tara O’Callaghan’s Call Me Mommy (Best Documentary short at Galway Film Fleadh 2022/Special Jury Prize at the YDAs 2024/IFTA 2023 nominee) and most recently, Ellius Grace’s A Song (Dearbhla Walsh award for Best Director at Louth International Film Festival 2025)

She was selected for IFFR Producer Labs 2025, mentored by Julianne Forde (Tailored Films) as part of Screen Ireland’s Mentorship Programme, and served as a juror for the IFTA Awards and Young Director Award (YDA). A recipient of Screen Ireland’s Slate Funding, Louise is committed to developing bold, director-led storytelling across independent cinema and commercial work, bridging the gap between artistic ambition and wide-reaching audience engagement.
